Manganese Umbers

This type of Manganese is of a meteoritic nature and are to be found in the Northern Cape. Deposits are up to 46 metres thick and are consistent in content and quality.

African Pegmatite has standardized on one deposit for the last 8 years where quality has been consistent and earned it an enviable reputation for consistent colour and texture in Ceramic clay bricks and tiles. African Pegmatite has a dedicated milling plant with attached container loading centre. Depending on customer requirements various higher and lower grades are available to the Ceramic Industry as well as a range of Manganese based Engobe colourants.
