Activated Alumina is a commonly used water filter media all over the world, its main use is for extraction of fluorides from borehole's, stream's and mine waters. Water with high levels of fluoride may cause fluorosis if consumed in larger quantites. Activated Alumina reduces the fluoride level making the water safe for human and animal consumption.
