Anthracite is a compact mineral which contains betweem 79% and 81% Carbon. It has the highest content of Carbon and lowest count of impurities of all the avaliable coals. Its application is for many uses, such as water filtration, trim redox level for glass colouring and many other uses.

Water Application

Hydro-Anthracite is a South African tailor-made product, generated to meet ever-increasing water filtration requirements. Its low dry bulk density and high strength are necessary pre-requisites for nano filtration of suspended solids with S.G. of less than 1.0. African Pegmatite can, if volumes allow, offer special gradings of this water filter media to suit customers specifications.
